is an international trio that dissolves stylistic boundaries and creates new sonic landscapes. With accordion, voice and sound design, the three musicians bring together tradition and the present in a captivating sonic journey.

Their work draws on Sephardic and old Spanish songs as well as lyrical fragments. These are reinterpreted, transformed, and interwoven with electronic sound layers, giving rise to richly textured arrangements that feel both archaic and contemporary.

Between sustained, almost meditative moments and rhythmically pulsating passages, a field of tension unfolds – shaped by mysticism, solemnity, and dance-like energy. It is a music that playfully moves between forms. Original compositions and free improvisations continually open up new spaces: spontaneous, vibrant, in the moment.

LUMAÏO creates a distinctive sound – a poetic fusion of world music and contemporary sound that carries the past forward and lets it shine anew in the present.
